There are no old-fashioned exams. Instead you are given real-life case studies and essays, which allow you to think critically about your company and your own career. A not-for-credit induction module will be the starting point of the programme. The induction process is designed to familiarise you with the programme design, requirements and resources, as well as with the way online interaction, learning and grading will take place. After the induction you should be familiar with academic life, including academic writing, library services and library access, OnlineCampus access, and academic support services.
Accounting and Finance
You will develop a comprehensive understanding of the principles of financial management within organisations including the interpretation of accounts, corporate governance, investment strategies and issues of risk and return.
International Financial Management
You will examine exchange, inflation, interest rates and other factors which impact on the performance of firms and assess the significance of decision-making in a global context. You will also evaluate the principles and practices that guide the financial management of multinational enterprise. This module also places an emphasis on the differences between multinational and domestic financial management.
Risk, Regulation and Compliance
You will learn how to employ critical thinking and review to domestic and international regulatory frameworks for financial and non-financial companies. You will also develop an understanding of the economics of regulation and the problems of compliance.
Marketing and Services Management
This module will strengthen your understanding of the role and processes of marketing in organisations, and places a particular emphasis on the service sector. You will learn about and develop skills applicable to managing quality and a wide-ranging analysis of the issues involved in managing strategic marketing and management functions in a service context.
